Sam was sitting on a rock thinking, he had just recieved his new pokemon, Squirtle, and he was really excited but nervous at the same time. what if Squirtle didn't like him? there was only one way to find out Sam finally decided, and held the pokeball out...
"come out Squirtle" Sam called as Squirtle came out of the ball and stood facing him, each looking at the other for a few minutes before Sam walked over to Squirtle and smiled.
Suddenly there was a rustle of leaves in the bushes behind Sam, who stood up and turned around looking at the bushes then at squirtle wondering who or what could be hiding in them.

The rustling came to a halt, and a wild Koffing came out of the bush!
Surrounded by a purple gas, you cover your and Squirtle's mouth.
The Koffing grunts at you, and examines you for a while. Seeing your Pokemon, it quickly thought you were definitely an enemy!
-BATTLE START-
Squirtle, level 5.
VS
Koffing, Level 3.

SQUIRTLE: HP20
KOFFING: HP 14
-------
Koffing jumps at you, planning to use tackle!
The thick gas around you fades away, and you remove your hands from you and your Squirtles mouths.

Sam jumped out of the way and shouted for Squirtle to dodge the attack but Squirtle was too slow and got hit on the front of its shell rolling backwards a few feet before getting back onto his feet.
"tackle it back Squirtle" Sam called as he saw Koffing closing in on Squirtle with another tackle attack and both Pokemon hit head on, each flying back in the direction they came from.

Okay, I gotta interfere really quick.
1. Sam, I gotta say that I liked how you didn't just make Squirtle dodge the attack. Impressive.
2. It is up to the MOD to decide if your attack hit or not.
No biggie, but just something to remember.
OWA, just go ahead and say the attack hit for now.

The wild Koffing grunted, and got back up in a battle position. IT spat out a purple gas again, using smog.
The Squirtle got trapped in the deep haze, but managed to avoid getting poisoned!
However, It did do some damage.
SQUIRTLE: 11HP
KOFFING: 10HP

Sam gritted his teeth and let out a low anxious like sigh for letting his guard down and forgetting about the smog attack.
Squirtle looked up at Sam expectantly and Sam smiled and nodded getting his grip back before pointing at the Koffin and yelling
"Squirtle use your growl and tackle Koffin with everything you got"

Koffing realized Squirtle's plan, and charged at it quickly! Just when Squirtle was about to Growl, it got thrashed with a tackle!
SQUIRTLE: 7HP
It then got back up, and pounced on the Koffing, wrestling it to the ground, and jumped in the air, diving head first on the center of the Koffing! The Tackle delivered a fair amount of impact!
KOFFING: 5HP
The battle was getting close, and Koffing breathed in, breathing out a spray of smog again!
This time The Squirtle avoided the attack by rolling to the side, making it so that the koffing couldn"t see it! It then glanced at it's owner for a command.

Sam looked back at squirtle grabbinga pokeball and threw it at the Koffing shouting "pokeball go" as he watched it sail toward the koffing his teeth gritted
